I recently documented this beautiful mom with her son in the comfort of their home, what beautiful energy I was able to capture between these two. She is a local IBCLC ( International Board Lactation Consultant ) in Columbia, Missouri and wanted me to capture these bonding moments with her son, breastfeeding, skin to skin and just taking in that quality time with one another.
As a photographer that is so involved with the birth & postpartum community I have been studying on lactation and soon will be getting my CLC to enhance that experience with my birth client's when needed. When I document these Motherhood Stories it's also a good time to ask questions as well and I'll offer any support I can give.
I'm a mother myself and breastfed my last baby for over 3 years, so I know that connection, bond, dedication and the feeling you get when it's time to end that journey with your little ones. This is why it's so important to capture these moments in time to look back on forever.
